Director:
Stanley Kubrick
Starring:
Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman, Sydney Pollack, Marie Richardson
Genre:
Erotic Drama / Mystery
Rating:
A sensual journey between desire and anxious revulsion.

A sensual and visceral film mirroring the contrast between desire and the following sobriety. Stanley Kubrick's final masterpiece offers a lavish exposition of beauty and psychological depth through an iconic leading pair.

Swedish actress Marie Richardson is excellent in her role as Marion, who confides in Dr. Bill Harford at her father’s deathbed in a most surprising manner.

Dr. Bill Harford (Tom Cruise) and his beautiful wife Alice (Nicole Kidman) live an ostensibly perfect life on Central Park East. However, after a night of latent temptations, Alice confesses her inner erotic fantasies. Consumed by jealousy, Bill wanders into the night, finding himself entangled in a depraved web of sexual misadventures.

From the enigmatic rental shop "Rainbow" to the masked elite societies—Bill treads a dangerous path where the pursuit of the unknown nearly ends in tragedy. Kubrick, who passed away in March 1999, leaves behind a visual and psychological legacy that remains unparalleled in modern cinema.
