Editor's Note (2026): It is fascinating to see a young Eddie Redmayne and Hayley Atwell in the cast, long before they became global superstars. Iva’s enthusiasm for this ambitious adaptation of Follett’s medieval epic is well-placed, as it remains one of the most lavish productions of its era.
