A warm and witty Christmas journey from the basement to the tree.

Excellent family entertainment is offered in the 1999 Christmas Calendar, here collected on two video cassettes. A story that masterfully blends humor with the true spirit of holiday togetherness.

"Heroes of Christmas" tells the story of Christmas tree ornaments accidentally tossed out of their box and into the basement of the holiday-hating janitor, "Vaktis".

The lost ornaments—including two wool gnomes, a star, a gingerbread man, and the assertive Goat—desperately try to find their way back to the apartment and the tree. They are joined by a green-furred "Bajen-dog" (Jonas Karlsson), who pretends to be a "Christmas Dog" just to be part of the group.

The journey is filled with both drama and laughs, from the threat of the garbage truck’s crusher to the Goat accidentally lighting a rocket instead of a candle. A brilliant ensemble cast that truly breathes life into these small holiday treasures.

Editor's Note (2026): Seeing Jonas Karlsson as the "Bajen-dog" is a nostalgic goldmine. This was an era where Swedish Christmas calendars dared to be both absurd and heartfelt at the same time.
