Nora lives in a seemingly perfect marriage with her newly appointed bank director husband, Torvald Helmer. She loves Torvald above all else, yet he regards her primarily as his "little, spendthrift doll." When Nora's childhood friend Katrine unexpectedly appears, Nora confides her deep, dark secret to her.
Katrine, however, driven by a touch of feminine envy, decides to prioritize her own happiness. Katrine has her own secrets to hide, which become interwoven with Nora’s fate in a story of sacrifice and the struggle for power within the home.
"A Doll's House" is presented here as a classic in stripped-down form, featuring imaginative set design and touching performances. Julia Dufvenius is a well-cast, excellent Nora.
